Jensen’s Broth, Granulated

Jensen's medium is a growth medium used in microbiology labs to cultivate and identify Clostridium species, which are gram-positive, anaerobic bacteria. It contains a mixture of nutrients, as well as the antimicrobial agent cycloheximide, and is incubated in an anaerobic environment. The colonies that form on the surface of the medium can be used to identify the bacteria. Jensen's medium is commonly used to study pathogenic or potentially pathogenic Clostridium species and to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of infections caused by these bacteria.
