Smart-Read EZTest® Biological Indicator for Steam

Smart-Read® is a self-contained biological indicator consisting of a sealed glass ampoule containing a proprietary soybeancasein digest broth with a pH indicator Bromocresol Purple; a paper carrier inoculated with a sterilization-resistant spore population; both enclosed in a clear polypropylene molded body with a Type 1 process indicator. The product is intended for use with the Smart-Well Incubator. When the ampoule is crushed and incubated at the appropriate temperature, the organism will grow. The physical characteristic showing growth is a color change from purple to or toward yellow and/or turbidity.

Smart-Read EZTest is a self-contained biological indicator for use in monitoring the efficacy of 121°C, 132°C, 134°C and 135°C steam sterilization cycles.
