FC-BIOS hosted the YHLO workshop “Antiphospholipid Syndrome: Strengthening Diagnosis from ELISA to CLIA” at the Spectrum Room, Nexus @ Connexion Conference & Event Centre (CCEC), Kuala Lumpur. Powered by YHLO Biotech, the full-day workshop brought together pathologists, laboratory scientists and clinicians from MOH hospitals, university hospitals, private hospitals and private laboratory groups to look at APS diagnosis in Malaysia, from the current clinical picture to real-world case studies. Speakers from HCTM UKM, Premier Integrated Labs (PIL), YHLO Biotech and FC-BIOS discussed the limits of conventional ELISA for anticardiolipin and anti-β2-glycoprotein I antibodies, presented method comparison data, and shared new findings from the HCTM–FC-BIOS research collaboration, including interval-specific likelihood ratio thresholds for aPL testing. Highlights included PIL’s own account of moving from ELISA to CLIA and Prof. Edward Zheng’s international view of YHLO’s new panels and portfolio. Participants could also see a YHLO iFlash analyser on display at the foyer. The session gave healthcare professionals practical insights for improving the accuracy and consistency of APS testing in their laboratories.
